Delete your trainkaki account

You can delete your trainkaki account at any time, directly from the app. This page explains how to do it, what data is removed, and what is retained (anonymised) for the benefit of other users.

How to delete your account

Open the trainkaki app on your Android device.
Tap the You tab in the bottom navigation.
Tap Settings in the top right corner.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm when prompted. The deletion request is processed immediately.

What gets deleted

Your display name, date of birth, gender, sport preferences, intensity preference, neighbourhood, and profile photo.
Your email address from trainkaki's authentication system.
The push notification token registered to your device.
Your session participation history (joins, leaves, attendance records, and check-ins you made).
Crews you are a member of (you will be removed; crews you created with other members will continue to exist with a new owner where applicable).

What is retained, anonymised

The following are retained without your personal identifiers, to preserve the integrity of past sessions for other participants who relied on that history:

Session chat messages you posted — message contents are retained, but your display name and profile photo are removed so other participants see "Former member" instead.
Post-session check-in feedback you gave on other users (thumbs up or thumbs down) — retained without your identifier, since it contributed to other users' reliability labels.
Sessions you hosted — the sessions remain visible to past participants, with your host name replaced by "Former host".

Timeline

Your personal data is removed from active systems within 30 days of deletion request. Backup systems are purged within 90 days. After this period, no part of your personal data remains in our systems.

Need help?

If you cannot access the app to delete your account (for example, you no longer have access to your sign-in email), email hello@trainkaki.com from any address. We will process the deletion manually after verifying ownership of the account.
